Overall, we are very happy with our new home built by Semore Homes, and we wouldn’t hesitate to build with them again. They can be best described as a small group of fun, honest, and down-to-earth people who genuinely care about their customers and building them nice quality homes. This was reflected through the entire process – pre-sales, build and aftercare.

When building a custom home people often stress about going through a long, convoluted design process that results in a nasty pricing surprise when it’s time to sign the contract. Nobody wants to put down thousands of design dollars and feel pressured to blow their budget or make massive trade-offs at the end. This wasn’t an issue for us with Semore. We entered with a very specific design in mind, and they brought it to life with almost everything we wanted well within our budget. They provided pricing updates at each step of the design and selection process, so we always knew where we stood and there were no surprises at the end. Their pre-sales process is honest and transparent, and quite frankly, excellent.

Semore are definitely not perfect. While the build process was good overall, they ran over our contracted delivery date by ~3 months and we had a long PCI list following that. This was due to some circumstances outside of their control, but it was still frustrating for us at the time. However, they really bent over backwards to look after us through their aftercare process, and they got everything completed to our satisfaction in the end. I’d much prefer this outcome vs. getting the build done super-fast and then being abandoned afterward, or at the first sign of an issue. Semore are way too honest and caring for that.

I recently had my kitchen renovated by Semore Homes, and I couldn't be happier with the result. My kitchen had remained the same small space since 1994, so the transformation has been incredible.

From the initial consultation through to the final finishes, the entire process was professional, well organised, and stress-free. The team's attention to detail was outstanding, and the colour consultation, along with their advice on fittings and fixtures, was invaluable in helping me make the right choices. They kept me informed every step of the way and delivered exceptional workmanship.

The team at Semore Homes was reliable, respectful of my home, and completed the project to an exceptionally high standard. My new kitchen has completely transformed the space—I now have so much more room, the new layout is beyond anything I imagined, and the quality of the finish has exceeded my expectations.

If I had the chance to build again, i would still go with Semore. I had so many compliments on my house. People walking past the house would comment that it's the best looking house on the street. Visitors would comment that the inside of the house is designed well, both aesthetically and functionally. Semore were great in taking our concept design and making it constructible within our budget. Their management was first class and set the expectations for the build at the start of construction. They even helped resolve our problems with the tiled floors and solar panel wiring installation. Construction was completed as requested before Christmas even though the contracted deadline was early 2026. Semore were great at organising extra work such as concreting and front decking. The only improvement would be maintaining site cleanliness during construction but generally well managed by Rob and Trinity. Great work guys.

I wanted to take a moment to highlight our excellent experience building with Semore Homes.

As this was our first build and our first home, there was naturally a lot of uncertainty at the start. We chose Semore Homes initially because of what they offered — the time provided for design and selections, the clear sequence of how the build would progress, the convenient app to track updates, their strong network of local suppliers, and their commitment as a company to operate with a minimal debt burden.

While those factors guided our initial decision, the reason I’m taking the time to write this review is because of the exceptional quality of their work, the open accessibility and communication from both the office and our site manager, and their transparency in addressing any issues that arose during the process. It’s easy to make a home look great in a digital render, but the finished product matched perfectly — and the build quality was, and remains, fantastic.

We were fortunate that our build was largely free of delays or major issues. On the rare occasions when something did come up, Semore Homes were collaborative and solution-focused, presenting us with multiple options — often along with their own thoughtful recommendations, even when these weren’t in their own immediate interest.

I can’t compare our experience with other builders, as this was our first, but I can confidently say Semore Homes stand out for their commitment to their customers and their pride in craftsmanship. They’re passionate about what they do and have built a genuinely high-quality team.

The only reason I didn’t give a full 5/5 is that I think there’s always room to refine the post-build handover and follow-up process — though to their credit, Semore Homes were responsive and willing to help whenever we reached out.

We have no plans to leave our home any time soon — but if we ever build again, we wouldn’t consider anyone other than Semore Homes.

We’ve been in here about 18 months now. We love our house; everyone who visits loves our house.  The design is stunning.

Since we moved in, we’ve had a couple of issues - the main thing for me is that there is always somebody available to take my call and fix it.

Would definitely build with Semore again
